Free service agreement templates for every trade

✓ Free✓ No sign-up✓ PDF in 2 min

A service agreement covers work that repeats rather than a single job. It is the paper that turns a customer into income you can plan around, so what it has to settle is not what the work costs but how often it happens and how either side gets out of it.

Pick your trade

Each has a page of its own — what goes on a service agreement in that trade, what that trade bills for, and the questions it actually gets asked. The sheet opens with that trade’s usual jobs and prices already filled in.

What goes on a service agreement

How to send it

Most customers want the paper on their phone, so the service agreement goes out by WhatsApp, text or email, or as a link they can open without installing anything. You can download the PDF instead if you would rather print it or keep it for your own records.

Pick how it looks

Six looks, from a plain classic sheet to a bold top band or a shop ticket, and your initials or logo are placed automatically. See all six looks.

Questions about service agreements

When do I need a service agreement rather than an invoice?

When the work repeats. A weekly mow, a monthly clean, a quarterly pest treatment or a maintenance contract are all the same arrangement: a price, a frequency and a term. An invoice bills one visit; the agreement is what says there will be more of them and what each one includes.

What has to be in it?

What the service is, how often it happens, what one visit includes, what counts as extra, the price and whether it is per visit or per month, how long it runs, whether it renews on its own, and how much notice either side gives to end it. The last two are the ones people leave out and the ones that cause the argument.

Does a service agreement replace a contract?

For straightforward recurring work it often is the contract — both sides sign it and it sets out the terms. For anything larger, or anything where a lot of money or liability is involved, have a lawyer look at what you use. This template is a clear statement of the arrangement, not legal advice, and it is not pretending otherwise.

Should I still send an invoice for each visit?

Usually yes, and the agreement makes them quicker rather than redundant: the price and scope are already settled, so each invoice just references the agreement and the date. If the customer pays monthly by standing order, a receipt or a monthly statement may be all they need.

What should a service agreement cover?

What is included, how often, what is not included, and how either side ends it. The prices and the schedule are the easy part — the exclusions are what stops the argument.
