What goes on a pest control work order

Pest work happens in properties where whoever called is often not whoever lives there, and the sheet carries what everybody needs to know and nobody will remember: what went where, what it is, and when it is safe.

  • The property, the unit, and who is in occupation
  • What was reported, and what the survey found
  • Each treatment point: where it is, what was placed, and how much
  • Bait stations by number and location, for the next visit
  • Safety notices left, and where they were left
  • What the occupier must do, and the re-entry time
  • Next visit due, and the sign-off

The sample line items and example prices this sheet opens with are on the pest control invoice template — the same table, which is about the trade rather than about this paper, so it lives in one place rather than on all six.

What you get

A pest control work order template filled in and ready to send: general treatment, termite inspection and rodent bait stations each on their own line, with the tax and the total worked out underneath.
What a pest control work order looks like when it is finished. Your business name, your logo and your own prices go in place of these.

A PDF, and a link your customer can open in any browser. Word and Excel versions are not available yet — if a spreadsheet is what you need, this is not yet the tool for it, and saying so is cheaper for both of us than you finding out after typing everything in.

Pick how it looks

Six looks, from a plain classic sheet through a bold top band to a shop ticket, and your initials go on automatically until you upload a logo. See all six.

How to send it

Most customers want the paper on their phone, so the work order goes out by WhatsApp, text or email, or as a link that needs no app and no account on their side. Or download the PDF to print it or keep it for your own records.

Questions

Why record where each station went?

Because somebody has to find them again and it may not be you. Unrecovered bait stations are both a liability and a cost, and a plan on the sheet is the only way the fourth visit knows what the first one placed.

What has to be left with the occupier?

A safety notice saying what was used, where, and when it is safe to be in the room — and a note on the sheet that you left it. In rented property especially, the question of whether the tenant was told is one that comes back.
