What goes on a towing work order
A tow sheet gets written twice: once when you are dispatched, and once at the vehicle. The second half is what protects you — the condition it was in when you arrived, because every tow has an accusation of damage somewhere behind it.
- The call: the time, who rang, and what they reported
- The location, as precisely as it can be given
- The vehicle with its plate, and who is authorizing the move
- The condition on arrival, recorded with photographs
- Keys: whether you have them, and what happens if you do not
- Destination, and who is accepting it at the other end
- Time on scene, time cleared, and the driver’s signature
The sample line items and example prices this sheet opens with are on the towing invoice template — the same table, which is about the trade rather than about this paper, so it lives in one place rather than on all six.
What you get

A PDF, and a link your customer can open in any browser. Word and Excel versions are not available yet — if a spreadsheet is what you need, this is not yet the tool for it, and saying so is cheaper for both of us than you finding out after typing everything in.
Pick how it looks
Six looks, from a plain classic sheet through a bold top band to a shop ticket, and your initials go on automatically until you upload a logo. See all six.
How to send it
Most customers want the paper on their phone, so the work order goes out by WhatsApp, text or email, or as a link that needs no app and no account on their side. Or download the PDF to print it or keep it for your own records.
Questions
How do I protect myself against a damage claim?
Photograph the vehicle before it goes on the truck, every time, and note the condition on the sheet. Damage claims in towing are common, usually honest, and almost always about something that was already there. A dated set of photographs ends it in a minute.
What goes on the sheet if nobody is with the vehicle?
More, not less. Where exactly it was, what condition, whether it was locked, whether the keys were in it, and the time. An unattended recovery has no witness but your own sheet, which makes it the one job where the paperwork genuinely is the evidence.
